Snacks are the new black part 3.

We’ve traveled all the way from Northern Europe to Southeast Asia, with just a few hundred steps, to explore China. There are plenty of dining options and shopping stops in China, and of course there are some amazing snacks.
These are our favorites:

​Here we have the Chicken Dumplings with Chinese Slaw and the Crispy Fried Shrimp with Chengdu Street Fries. 
The dumplings are simple and satisfying. A familiar, easily approachable dish with flavors of soy and ginger and a nice crisp freshness with the accompanying slaw. They were a big hit with the kids in our party. 
The Crispy Shrimp and Chengdu Street Fries were surprising at first sight. The menu description doesn’t do it justice. It’s a nice pile of crispy, crinkle-cut fries, topped with crispy fried shrimp, a bright, beautiful sauce with ginger notes and a heat that builds as you enjoy it. There’s plenty of chili flake for even more heat and fresh scallion for color and freshness. It’s a fun dish that we’ll definitely have again, we might even ask for extra of that sauce!
