At Disney World and Universal Studios, there are so many great events that happen year round. For both parks though, I love the fall. My favorite holiday is Halloween, so I get my scary fix at Universal Studios and my spooky fun kick at Magic Kingdom. Both are separately ticketed events occurring in the evening with the parks closed to the general public.
The cool thing about Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is that you can get into the park at 4pm. That means you can enjoy some rides and a quick dinner before the event starts later that evening.
Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando is for those who love all things related to horror movies and scary characters. Nothing is left to the imagination here, it's not for the faint of heart.
*Please note that both of these events have been cancelled for 2020.
Another fall favorite happens in Epcot: The International Food and Wine Festival. Eat and drink your away around the world as each country plus many booths around the park have samplings of a few delicious bites as well as drinks.
*For 2020, Disney has renamed the festival "A Taste of Epcot". It requires a valid ticket to Epcot and the dates run from July 15 through the fall.
Insider tip: Stay at Yacht and Beach Club or Boardwalk resorts and you can WALK to Epcot!
