​Celebrating 25 ears!

Covid has definitely put a twist in travel.  Many of you have probably had to cancel plans you have had in the last year.  We sure have.
Last June my husband and I had our 25th wedding anniversary.  With all the restrictions and having twins with a unknown high school graduation date, we gave up on the idea of any trip.
As restrictions are slowly being lifted, we started discussing a long weekend as a substitute. So this weekend we are headed to Walt Disney World.   
I have always had a love for Disney. My 1st trip to Walt Disney World was actually our honeymoon.  That trip my husband was my unofficial travel agent and tour guide.  We drove 22hrs from Michigan, with a stuffed Winnie the Pooh as our third wheel,  in a car I can’t believe we even trusted.  Arriving at the Allstar Music and I was in awe.  I couldn’t believe I had finally made it.   5 nights, 4 day park hoppers, character meals at the Garden Grill and a Winnie the Pooh breakfast at Olivias cafe.   We had the best time and couldn’t wait to go back.
Over the years we have been back over a dozen times. Traveling with our kids young and years older, other family, friends, for cheer competitions and even while 7 months pregnant. I have also been fortunate to have had the advantage of traveling and training with the wonderful Magic Plus Travel Agents.
Lots of people will ask “Why would you celebrate your wedding anniversary at Walt Disney World?”  My answer? “Why not?”  In just a matter of a few days we can visit a magical castle,  dine with some pretty famous characters, visit 11 countries,  go on a safari,  fly the Millennium Falcon or simply lounge by the pool.  So much to do. We may even have to revisit Olivia’s Cafe for breakfast.   Just like we did on our honeymoon.
It’s been a few years since my husband has made the trip.  I can’t wait to be his personal tour guide and his travel agent, of course.   
Bring on the pixie dust! Covid isn’t gonna stop us.
